Genevieve, just finished The Secret Chapter. Lovely book. I really enjoyed it. I've read, have them all, enjoyed them all. I know it's early but do you have usual schedule regarding how long it takes you to write the next one? Thank you!

I'm glad you're enjoying the series. It usually takes me about a year to produce a working draft of the next book which I'm happy to send to the publisher, but then there are several more months of back-and-forths and editing to follow.
(I should note that I also have a day job for 4 days a week, so any writing is in my own time - in the evenings, and at weekends and on my day off. No doubt if I was doing nothing else, I might write a bit faster. But I like having a steady paycheck...)

I just started reading The Invisible Library and was struck by a similarity between the dragons in your book who hold the balance of technology and magic and the old PC game The Longest Journey, in which there are dragons who have the same responsibility. Are you familiar with that game, and did it inspire your dragon idea?
