Hi Eve, I really enjoyed this first book. I like it that it has a cookie whisperer so to speak since Kate can tell which cookie a person likes. I also like how you work with all town folk and how they come together to help her and Sam out. I am looking forward to your next book in April. If you need a reviewer I would be more than happy to do that? Did you base the small town on one you remember?

Eve Calder Thank you! Really glad you liked the characters and the story! Coral Cay is kind of a patchwork of small pieces of different places that I've known and loved. (With a little bit of whimsy or wishful thinking thrown into the mix.) I definitely wanted to set the series in South Florida. And I liked the idea of having the location a little off the beaten track -- so the idea of an island really appealed. It also opened up a story line for SUGAR AND VICE involving Coral Cay's pirate founders -- which I hope readers will enjoy as much as I have!
