It appears to me that The Giver of Stars was published in Oct. 2019, and The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek was published in May 2019, so I cannot see how plagiarism could be an issue, knowing personally how long it takes to get a book published, between rewrites, editing and more editing. This is just my opinion but plagiarism seems quite implausible to me, albeit these books are about the same program?
