Hello! I just have a quick question. Do you write with intrumental, white noise, or any type of music? I'm a teen author-in-progress, and it can go either way for me. It just depends on the 'mood' of what I'm writing, and wether I can find intrumental that fits it. I'm a fan of your series The Unwanteds, and can't wait to finish The Unwanteds Quests. Thank you!

I usually write in silence, but I know a lot of other authors write with music. I find it a bit distracting. But sometimes I will write with nature-like sounds (birds in a meadow or by a river) or with a fireplace scene on the TV with the crackling sounds that go with that.

Hi. You are my favourite author and I love the unwanteds series!! I have two questions........... 1- Where did you get the idea of pirate island ( how it sinks underwater and comes back up again), and Karkinos ( how it is a crab)?????????? 2- I am currently reading book 5 and I was wondering, if you end up writing another series of the unwanteds, would Alex get married and have kids with Sky, Lani, or nobody?
