Goodreads asked Peter Fang:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Peter Fang I use several ways to unblock myself, and it depends on how I feel that day. One effective way is to 'talk' about the story with a friend. Your discussion with your trusted friend will often offer you the necessary energy and ideas to push you forward. It's also a good idea to write your story backward in draft form, so you make the course correction needed. Solving the writer's block doesn't always mean looking for inspiration; you could also move forward mechanically by fixing things that's already written down.
