I tried to post a comment about Penric, but it was rejected because I'm not a friend of yours. I'd really like to be one of your book friends. I've been reading your books since Shards of Honor first came out. I was working in a bookstore at the time and devoured it and all those since. Except Penric. Lois McMaster Bujold You may, but there is a system that you have to find and go through, which will cause your name to pop up under my "Friends" icon, with an "accept - reject" button. I can then friend you.

Can someone below please explain how to find and activate this friend-request feature from the reader end?

I love your Penric stories. And look forward to all installments. Hi Lois! In the Sharing Knife series, it's described that the Lakewalkers shield their ground by turning it sideways to the world (or a concept along those lines). To me, this sounds like an object in a higher dimension going out of view in a lower dimension, for example, how 3D objects might seem to disappear if moved when viewed from a 2D plane. Did you think of this when creating this magic system?
