That is a good question! Rules can be broken and powerful witches like Alice and Grimalkin often do so. Not only can they cross running water but they have some immunity against salt and iron. The boggart called Kratch never adds salt to the food it cooks – sausages and bacon are salty enough anyway! Eat healthy! Don’t put salt on a breakfast fry-up!

Does Tilda have any powers that come from the Fiend? Is it just her magical talent or does she have certain gifts like controlling time and changing her appearance? Also if Tom and Alice had a son what powers would he grow up to have? After all the Fiend was fearful of having one of his bloodline turning to the light which was why he killed his and Grimlakin's son, so if Tom and Alice had a son would he be like Tilda?

Dear Mr. Delaney Vaccinations are progressing a little by now, I'm carefully starting to make plans for holidays. We would like to visit the locations mentioned in your books! My list so far is: Preston, Lancaster, Morecambe Bay, Anglezarke moor, Pendle hill & surrounding witch villages, Chipping, Kersal (is abbey real?), lancaster canal. Is there anything I'm missing?
