Hi! I'm a huge fan of all of your books. I've noticed that you write books of a lot of genres - the Ascendance Trilogy is medieval-ish, and Mark of the Thief and Traitor's Game are different types of fantasy, but then Resistance and A Night Divided are historical fiction. How do you come up with (and write!) such a wide variety of ideas? Thanks!

Hi Mag - I think that creatively, I need to work in a variety of genres and ideas. It keeps me challenged, which keeps me interested. If I were writing only one kind of story, I'd get bored, and my writing would show that. Thanks for asking!

Where do you get the names for your characters? (specifically the ones in Ascendance) some of them are really unique, I've never heard them before or come across them while researching. And do you make up the names for the kingdoms? Do you take words from other languages and twist them Or are they right out of your imagination?
