Thank you for another great read (Stay). I devoured this book. How do you do it? I read a lot of books (check out my profile if you can) and I honestly think you are the best contemporary fiction writer publishing today. Your stories are so real and the emotions so raw. You put your readers right there with the characters. Sometimes I wish I could savor them just a bit more. Thank you.

Catherine Ryan Hyde Wow. That is a lovely bunch of thoughts, Ginger! I really thank you for taking the time, as this made my evening. As to the question part of it, I am about to fall down on the job. I have no idea how I do it. My brain knows how to do this. After all these years accepting the many things it doesn't know how to do, it's a relief to find my niche. But I have no idea where the characters or stories come from, or how I get them down as fast as I do. I just keep practicing and it just keeps happening.

If I could give this a 6* I just finished Have You Seen Luis Velez. I just finished Just After Midnight and started this book. So I haven't done anything for 2 days because I could not put the books down. So I am not going to start Stay for a few days....and thanks for being my friend since you are the best author. My question is: How do you come up with all these great books and still ride your horse?

I have to admit I saw the film first, I was single digits young at the time, but when I learned it was a book I was overjoyed. I've always hoped, perhaps naively, that the concept would catch on and spread round the world. Did you have the same hope when you were writing it? I also wonder what you thought of the film, did you have any say as to what was done with it, and are you pleased with how it turned out?
