Lois McMaster Bujold:
I want to become an author when I finish school how do you think I should go about it do you have any advice on how to get a book published to how to become an accomplished author?
Lois McMaster Bujold
My best answer remains the same: go to this blog, scroll down to the beginning, and read up. http://www.pcwrede.com/blog/
For a more compact version, there is also

It's among the most level-headed writing advice on the net.
My own how-I-got-published experiences are now 35 years out of date for the modern market, so mainly of historical interest. But the very short version is that one learns how to write by actually writing -- and then learning to self-edit. The latter, happily, is more teachable.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
Hi. As so many I am very grateful for your books. Cordelia was something of a role model for me. Her pragmatism about government, about God, about life, and about parenting helped shape the way I view many of those things. I believe I am a better mother, a better social worker and even a better government employee because of how you wrote her. I hope there are more Vorkosigan/Barrayar stories to come?

Hi Lois, I just wanted to reach out and tell you how much I've enjoyed your work thus far. I just got finished reading Memory and as I was nearing the middle of it, I was hit by just how great it was, not only as a novel, but also as the culmination of such a wonderful series so far. I've already started on Komarr. How much planning goes into your novels? Are you a seat of the pants writer?

I just finished/loved the Penric's Demon series. The Cantons are cozy as heck and the Empire has that Byzantine motif that's right down my alley. Anyway, I wanted to know what role jesters play, if any, in the world of Chalion. I assume they'd fall within the Bastard's province, but just how religious would they be? The idea of a jester-divine brings a smile to my face haha
