Why did the author have to kill coyotito? It was totally unfair for the hunters to kiLl him!

This was also important because Kino's behavior towards his wife changed after he decided to sell the pearl. He became extremely abusive and even beat her at one point in the book when she tried to get rid of the pearl because she knew the misfortune that would lay ahead of them if they kept trying to sell it. She knew this because before Kino found the pearl, he was a man living for his family. After finding it, however, he began to live in hope of finding wealth and riches. Hoping this helps! :)(less)
