I originally wrote a book similar to CRASH but the main character was very different and the plot involved narcolepsy instead of visions. That book never got published, and I didn't love how it had turned out. But I still loved the concept of a vision of a truck hitting a building and a big explosion, and then nine body bags in the snow. So I kept that little idea of the story and rewrote everything else from scratch, creating Jules and her family and Sawyer, and it worked so much better the second time.

Hi Ms. McMann. I had a question about Alex and Aaron Stowe in your Unwanteds series. The left hand is controlled by the right brain, which is the artistic half, and Alex, who is left-handed is artistic. The right hand is controlled by the analytical left brain, and Aaron, who is left-handed, is very calculating and analytical. Did you do this on purpose? Thanks

Hi! I was wondering why did you introduce the fact that they could possibly reach America and then not pursue it? Its just that when I read that I got really excited because the thought of Fifer and Thisbe reaching america and being confused by everything there felt really interesting. Do you have any plans for a spin off or anything that might make it so we could see what would have happened?
