Samuel Capri
Samuel Capri asked Lisa McMann:

How did you come up with the idea for the visions trilogy?

Lisa McMann I originally wrote a book similar to CRASH but the main character was very different and the plot involved narcolepsy instead of visions. That book never got published, and I didn't love how it had turned out. But I still loved the concept of a vision of a truck hitting a building and a big explosion, and then nine body bags in the snow. So I kept that little idea of the story and rewrote everything else from scratch, creating Jules and her family and Sawyer, and it worked so much better the second time.
