First of all, let me thank you for all the great reads! I read the comment about where to find the Manfred/Sookie connection, thanks for that! Where can I find the Manfred/Harper connection mentioned in the first book? Did I miss it in the series? Thanks!

Manfred originated as a character in the Harper books. I don't think he's in the first book, but he makes appearances in the subsequent ones. He was a lot of fun to write.
