Without doing much research into this (and as someone who loved The Night Circus) am just wondering if this book has any LGBTQ+ themes/characters/narratives? I find it difficult to engage fully with hetero storylines at the moment...

It does! I wouldn't say that's a major focus of the book, but the main character is gay, and without giving too much away, there are parts of the story that are about a love interest of his.

Just to add to the other comments, yes, some gay characters, but this is peripheral to the story. It is a story about other things, involving some characters who happen to be gay.

Yes, the main character is gay and his closest friend is bi (her sexuality is not directly labeled, but references her dating both men and women).

Yes. It does have LGBT characters. But the love story is such a small part of the book that if it were the main character it would be almost insignificant.
