Hey Melanie, Just curious about what point of viewyou write in. I love the Hagenheim series but, just recently I have been paying attention to the different points of views and got confused when I couldn't figure out what you write in. Also is there a specific point of view you prefer to write in?
Melanie Dickerson
I write in third person. I write from the hero and the heroine's points of view, alternately. Sometimes I also write in another character's point of view, like when I wrote a couple of scenes from the brother Steffan's point of view in The Warrior Maiden, and sometimes I write from the villain's point of view. But usually just the hero and heroine's.

I am the dept head of the public library where I live. i have been so discouraged with YA books lately and their content, it's hard to recommend any to parents who want good, wholesome books for their teen girls. I was so impressed with your writing and weaving in a relationship with God. I will try hard to purchase all your YA books. Are you writing more for this age group?

Hi Ms. Dickerson! I just finished The Golden Braid and I LOVED it! I wanted you to know that I used the book for my summer reading requirements at my new school! I also wanted to ask you if you had to any medevil research before you wrote the Hagenheim series, so you could know a bit more about the time period? I would just like to know because I am writing a book that is also set in the past!

I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?
