Hi Ms. Dickerson! I just finished The Golden Braid and I LOVED it! I wanted you to know that I used the book for my summer reading requirements at my new school! I also wanted to ask you if you had to any medevil research before you wrote the Hagenheim series, so you could know a bit more about the time period? Yes, I did a lot of research on the medieval time period and medieval Germany in particular, since that was the setting of my stories. I read a lot while I was writing the first book, and I do research about specific things as I write and edit each book, mostly on the internet, but I also have a few books I refer to. The medieval time period is such a rich and interesting historical period. I wish you all the best with your writing and research!
