Hi Geoffrey,
Redheads are rare in general, but Norway has a high percentage of redheads in comparison to the rest of Europe. Also, many Irish and Scottish redheads have traces of Norwegian ancestry! It was an interesting fact that I learnt while doing research in Norway for 'The Storm Sister'.
