Good Evening! I was wondering how you came up with the plot and storyline for the ToNW series?

P.C. Cast The idea of bonding with the dogs started the whole thing and was inspired by my relationship with my working dog, Badger, who was a personal protection dog. Cammy also was my precious scottie dog. Lots of my animals are in the series (Anjo is my horse, etc.). The rest was research research research, and my imagination.

I own and love all your books, but the Tales of a New World has me totally captivated and can't stop rereading. I'm wondering as the pack settles among the wind riders, is it possible for a wind rider to also bond with a canine? Or a horse with a companion?

I started reading back in fifth grade, a little before Wind Rider came out, and I quickly fell in love with the characters, world, and writing. I love the ideas it presented, and the female characters empowered me in a very strong way, shaping a lot of my perspective. So, thank you very much, and have an amazing year! :)
