Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Fenton R. Kay My wife renovates and remodels historic adobe buildings in Las Cruces, NM. Many of the old buildings in the historic part of the town are thought to be haunted. The WPA-built 1930s courthouse is one of the buildings believed to be haunted (but not one my wife owns). I am on the verge of publishing a novella using that building as the setting for my engineer/witch and her telepathic cat to deal with the mystery of clanking and other strange noises coming from the old jail.
