I am currently reading "Midnight on the Scottish Shores", very early into it, but notice that Cilla's last name matches Aleida's from "Ember's in the London Sky". Is there a connection between the two women and the two stories?

Sarah Sundin Hi Kymberli! Aleida and Cilla are cousins - as is Gerrit van der Zee, the hero of my 2026 release. The stories completely stand alone, but there's a family connection. And there may be cameos ;)

Hello Sarah!! First, do you plan out your plot entirely before beginning to write, and if so, do you find that as you are writing your plot stays along the lines you had planned, or does it develop in some unexpected ways as you write? I LOVE your books and have read all of your stand alones. When Twilight Breaks and Until Leaves Fall In Paris are my absolute favorites! :)
