Goodreads asked Daniel B. Oliver:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Daniel B. Oliver I take a break. Not a coffee break but an extended one of a week, or even a month. When I see a manuscript with fresh eyes after having taken a vacation, read a book, or even worked on another manuscript, I always have new ideas for the one that stopped me previously. Giving one’s mind a rest from one’s current manuscript is the ultimate cure for writer’s block.
