I keep goals in mind. In writing my debut novel, obviously my goal was to be published. Of course, there are setbacks to anything in life, but as long as I kept my goal in mind, I always got back on track when I suffered a setback.
Also, I write about mental illness, which doesn’t get enough fair exposure in terms of what the reality is of having one. I get inspired by sharing this reality with others.
