I just finished (LOVED IT) and I'm confused about the ending. Was I supposed to know who Coco's Aunt is? Is she significant in some way?

I know that La Voisin was a french fortune-teller in the 17th century, and that it literally translates to "The Neighbor" so I'm getting that vibe, otherwise La Voisin was not previously mentioned in the novel.
