Katherine, honestly I work every day to be a "good author." Thanks for putting me in that category!
A lot of days, when I'm editing, deleting, or pounding my head on the table, I say, "Sheesh. This sucks. Your writing sucks." It's a battle each day to write something that works and works well.
I always try to write a better book than I did before. Now, people will have their favorites, and of course some people won't like my books at all, but the goal is always the same for me.
I read all the time, I study the work of excellent authors, I try different structures and characters and character arcs in my books. I try new things.
I am just delighted that you like my books and thank you for the compliment. Made my day.
