Two questions: 1) Are there any steamy scenes? I'm getting tired of books where the love story between the main characters is almost platonic. Only kisses. Sex is part of a relationship, so I don't understand why most of the books avoid the topic. It doesn't have to be explicit. My God, no! 2) How many books will there be? p.s about question 1, it's not a critique to the book per se, because I'm loving it, FYI.

The aut…moreThere is a large group on Tiktok who are all about how adults shouldn't be actively seeking sex scenes in YA literature, and I actually agree. The author's may be shying away from writing explicit scenes due to this or due to personal preference. As someone who is openly Asexual I actually really enjoy the lack of sex in the books, and would be more than happy for it to stay that way. That being said, if I really like the book I will read the scenes, but it wouldn't be the most important part of the book for me. I read for the story and the talent of the author, not the sex.

If you really want to read smut that badly try adult novels or fanfiction. But please leave YA as it is. (less)
