Goodreads asked R.C. Durkee:

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

R.C. Durkee The fictional book world that I might like to be in (that comes to mind first) is Michael Crichton's "Timeline." I am interested in archaeology, anthropology, and history, and "Timeline" has all three interests. It is set in Medieval Times with castles, knights and siege machines like trebuchets that I find fascinating. I would like to see the great forests, and the world before light pollution, vehicles, heavy industry and urban sprawl. I would also like to experience the fresh air and quiet sounds that world would have. I would be an archaeologist with the team that travels back in time, and use my knowledge of the past and future to help me survive the era. Since I was raised on a farm with livestock and horses, and know survival skills, I would be an asset to the team.
But ...I would also like to be in the book I wrote, "Rum Run," and be my book's protagonist, Rusty!
