Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jess Ekstrom I started Headbands of Hope out of my dorm room in college. I had NO IDEA what I was doing...but I had a belief in better. That optimistic belief was what eventually grew Headbands of Hope into a million dollar company that helps hundreds of thousands of kids.

That's how I got the idea for Chasing the Bright Side. I want to show people that it's not skill or expertise that gets us where we want to go, it's optimism.
