C.j. Snow asked this question about Aru Shah and the End of Time (Pandava, #1):
HELP? I have a student who gobbled this book UP! She's read the sequel and loved it too. So my question is this: what other books would you recommend that are along the lines of this book in which a 6th voracious reader would enjoy. (If it's already a bestseller, she's probably already read it.) Bonus points if the main character is a girl. Extra bonus points if there are Middle Eastern/Muslim characters! Thanks

Yee (Chinese mythology) and Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton (fantasy world analagous to Arabia) in a few years. All have strong female protagonists. I found some of these authors from A Tyranny of Petticoats and The Radical Element - short story collections, some of which are probably age-appropriate, and all of which are awesome!(less)
