Since you are writing a series, did you carefully outline a full detailed plan for the series or are you letting the story grow as you go with just the bare-bones of a general plan?

Hi Blair! Sort of. I always had an idea of how it should start and finish, and certain things that I wanted to happen in the books. But I didn't really plan everything out, and I still don't when I sit down to start a new one. Originally it was going to be a trilogy, and now it'll be four books so that tells you everything about how much I plan ahead!

Have you considered writing further Knight Hospitaller novellas either with new characters in Rhodes or with additional adventures of Sir Richard? The end of the first volume implied the action might be continuous in Rhodes, and there are some real-life Hospitallers like Dieudonne de Gozon (roughly contemporary with the period) who had some legendary adventures a few years later...
