I’m in the middle of reading the first book of the pendragon series, I haven’t read much but in any way is this an allegory to something?

The thing about Pendragon is that it works on a couple of levels. There's the over-arching story and context of the battle between Bobby and Saint Dane, but then each individual book holds its own unique story and theme. But I'll say this much...yes. There are allegories throughout. It's up to you to figure out what they are.
