Ok, I just finished it and one question has really been bothering me: *Spoilers* In chapter 37, Shelley uses his buck knife to cut into Ephraim. Then, in the next chapter, Max is stabbed by Shelley with the same knife. - But Max never showed any signs or symptoms of getting infected. Even at the end it says he was tested multiple times by doctors and was all cleared. What's up with that??
