Hi Carol! Thanks for writing in and giving me a sweet blast from the past with my very first (and beloved) series! To answer your question, technically yes, it can be read alone, but I think it's best enjoyed as part of the series as you get to know the characters, particularly the angels, though it's definitely not required. :) FYI, that series has been totally revamped, re-edited with new bonus material, re-covered, and I re-released them as the Inked series, so Cupid's Last Stand is now simply called Tristan. I started reading Crank, & enjoying it so far, but can't find a paperback version to follow on Goodreads. Do you know if I'm searching wrong or something? It only seems to show up as an e-reader or Kindle edition. I do have a paperback, I swear. I chose it for my Book Club.
