Fredrik asked Mark Lawrence:

I see myself as more of a gardener, than architect, but I need a small outline to know my way around the garden. How do you keep track of it all, without intensive re-reading or notes? How do you do your editing? Do you use the whole first draft as an outline, or do you edit line for line, or anything else? Loved all books set in the Broken Empire and the trilogy aobut Nona. Keep up the great work!

Mark Lawrence Hi Fredik - great to hear you're enjoying the books. Check out The Red Queen's War & Impossible Times trilogies for more.

I'm not sure that I understand the question. I've never had trouble keeping track of a book in my head while writing it. I only write once, so there are no drafts. There's blank pages and then there's a book. Once it's done I'll read through and fix typos.
