Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lacey Napiontek Growing up with a brother who has pursued a career as a musician has presented me several unique opportunities to peer into a world that is shrouded in mystery. When he was 19 years old he went to Nashville and become a staff songwriter working with well known artists to craft the music you hear on the radio. When I would visit him I would get to experience certain parts of his life, like being on the inside of a studio and watching how his singular voice would blend into the robust instrumental accompaniment. Or sitting in a car when that lighting bolt moment of an idea finds him and witnessing the process of words being thrown around in an impromptu songwriting session of new music taking shape. He would introduce me to people I either recognized or knew of their work and I would have the privilege of getting to know someone beyond their fame. These unique life experiences, gave me inspiration to create a fictional story that reminds us all that fame is simply a matter of perspective.
