(view spoiler)[Hi Stuart! After finishing 7 1/2 deaths I stumbled upon the reading group guide questions in the back of the US version & the first question has my overtired brain stumped (not being able to put the book down till 3am has a lot to do with it) but what would your answer be to it? I had been equating the title with the number of days Aiden really had to solve the mystery & a death happening each day (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[It's the number of Evelyn's victims! The title is meant to be a bit of a clue, but only if you look at it differently :) 3am! Great effort. (hide spoiler)]

I've just finished my seventh time (which is no exaggeration) reading The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, and it still fills me with that feeling of suspense and unease, and the end always leaves me speechless and will always shock me - no matter how many times I re-read it! I was wondering if you had any books that give you that same shock when you revisit them? A huge thank you to you (and to Doris!).

Not a question. But I wanted you to know that my 14 year old recommended this book to me. We are both big readers. A common place for us to land. This was one of the best books both of us had read in quite some time. It gave us a lot to comment on and talk about. And when you have a 14 year old, that is a gift. You know? Thanks for creating this gift.

7 1/2 Deaths was one of the most unique and incredible books I've ever read, so I had high hopes for Devil and the Dark Water. It was so different from 7 1/2 Deaths but rivals it in quality. The question of whether Old Tom even existed had me questioning things until the very end. Please tell me a Turton #3 is in the works?
