E. Beattie
E. Beattie asked Stuart Turton:

I've just finished my seventh time (which is no exaggeration) reading The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, and it still fills me with that feeling of suspense and unease, and the end always leaves me speechless and will always shock me - no matter how many times I re-read it! I was wondering if you had any books that give you that same shock when you revisit them? A huge thank you to you (and to Doris!).

Stuart Turton This is a very lovely thing to read. Thanks so much. Can’t believe you’ve read it seven times. That’s wonderful. I absolutely adore The God of Small Things. Every time I finish that book it leaves me heartbroken.
