OK. Did this book end with Pip remarrying Max? (Not including Leila's last chapter). Because in Pip's next-to-last section, Max was moving back to the US to be with Blair. "And, as the service begins, the room disappears and it's just me, Max and Grace, and the registrar, making us all a family again." I am totally confused and feel stupid. Any thoughts?

I don't get it. And which verdict did the judge go in favour at the end? This was what really tangled in the story and completely lost me at sea.(less)
