How do you get inspired to write?

Harold A. Bascom I am an artist as as well as a writer. As an artist, I have had to field ths question. I remember one guy saying to me, "Harold, some people smoke, some use other drugs to get that creative boost, what do you use?" I chuckled and replied, "Nothing. I have a natural head. I just am imbued with a passion to create and that's what I do." In short, I inspire myself through a deep need in me to want to leave something unique behind.
