Alexandra Tzamanou
Alexandra Tzamanou asked Charlaine Harris:

Hello Charlaine, my question is about the amount of time that takes you to complete a book. And if you ever feel like "is what I'm writing ok?". And if yes, how do you overcome it? Thank you so much for your time and art.

Charlaine Harris My average for completing a book used to be nine months. That seemed a comfortable length of time for me. Now that I am in my sixties I am writing slower and rewriting more, so It's taking longer. It's never easy.

I question myself all the time. All the writers I know do that. I overcome it by doing the best that I can, getting advice from people I trust on how to correct rough patches, and simply by having a lot of experience by now. But it's never a simple thing.
