Re-reading Captain Vorpatril's Alliance for the 3rd or 4th time today. What would be a typical example of a venomous snake, a garden snake, and a dead snake that he had to sort for Admiral Desplains?

I suppose a dead snake would be some problem that should have been dealt with below this level, a garden snake would be ordinary Ops issues, and a venomous snake would be something with hidden political implications or connections, or some genuine time-critical emergency. (Actually, the later would bypass the herpetology triage altogether.)

Vorkosigan Idea - Miles does real legislation in Vorkosigan District as I always felt that this was never addressed given as there district always seems to fall behind as Aral and Miles were always off world or at the Capital worrying about Barrayar. Thoughts?
