Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sherrill Joseph I live in a neighborhood with streets named for botanicals, e.g., Nutmeg Street, Jacaranda Street, Palm Street, etc. Those became the inspiration for the Botanic Hill detectives part of my middle grade mystery series.

Also, I loved studying about Egypt and reading Nancy Drew and Phyllis A. Whitney mysteries when I was a tween, so I thought tweens might like a mystery involving the theft of an ancient Egyptian artifact.

And voila! That's how Nutmeg Street: Egyptian Secrets was born!
