"Clean" is a biased and negative term, because then the more descriptive books are "unclean" and you're shaming those who write/read those types of books. Better descriptors would be "closed door", wherein we don't read about anything sexual occurring between characters past possibly kissing, and "open door" which could describe any amount of sexual activity. This series is definitely 'open door'.

I get that you have types of content you prefer to avoid, but this question requires others to guess at what you would find "dirty."
If you want to know if a book has graphic depictions of sex, ask that question. If you want to know if it has any sex scenes, even if they are not explicit, ask for that. If you want to know if there is implied sex or sex between unmarried people, ask. If you want to know if the book contains swear words, ask that. If you want to know if the book has coerced, violent or kinky sex, ask about that. Clean is in the eyes of the beholder.

I hate to tell you this, but:
Children are the product of sexuality.
It is not dirty, it is nature.

I guess clean is a matter of opinion, but this book has 2 fully descriptive sex scenes, so I would not describe it as clean.

There are a few steamy sex scenes, seemingly meant to titillate. So, not clean. Though it was fairly easy to skip reading those scenes. On the plus side, Julia Quinn's writing is quite a bit better than other Regency romances I've read.

Goodreads simply answering a question instead of inserting their own opinion on others' preferences challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

Absolutely. It is a fun clean read. Takes place in Victorian times. There are certain words and deeds that were not allowed. You will enjoy all the novels about the Bridgertons.
Naomi Cavallin
These replies are not the vibe-

In answer to your question, I am going to say that this series is not PG-rated, the Screen presentation is similar.`I highly suggest that you don't read any romance novels if you expect them to be chaste.

The shows writer is Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal. There is always a fair amount of hot sexy scenes, not showing actual frontal nudity but showing heated passion that a child might find confusing. I saw a few minutes of the first episode of Brigerton and there was such a scene. Most adults would not be discomfited but much of her plot and action, in all her creations is not family friendly.

There are some sex scenes, including a noncon one
Becky Bone
there are a couple of sex scenes, but felt they were tamer sex scenes than I've read in other books in the genre previously.
