Cintia I hate to tell you this, but:
I'm not a child, I don't need condescending answers.
It's not smart, it's mocking.

And some of us prefer our romance novels without sex scenes.

MK ( MaKayla) @ Iris There is no reason to be rude . Some people don't like to read novels where we get to literally view someone else's sex life like we're standing by thier bed side . 🤨

Cintia Thank you, Makayla!

Iris Pusemuckel @Cintia. "Clean" is the opposite of dirty and this is a fact. I am offended by such a silly question. Are you the religious type? Then read christian romance and do not ask every time if there is dirt in romance novels.
Just read something else if you do not want to have sex scenes in your books.

Asking if a romance novel is "clean", is like you want to be washed but do not want to get wet.

The same would be if I ask the readers anxiously before buying a crime novel: "OMG, are there dead people in this?"

IT IS ABSURD.

Abby Actually if anything in this thread is absurd its your argument - people might ask if something is clean as that's simply their preference, and in this they can be either non-judgmental or judgmental (as in anything). Someone trying to determine whether something is clean, for their own reading purposes, is not at all judgement on you so you shouldn't take that personally. As for use of the word 'clean' I think you're reading too much into it personally.

Kei Padovano Not all romance books have s*x though? There are plenty of examples. If someone asks if a romance book has romance in it, then your analogy makes sense. It’s the equivalent if someone asks if there is heavy violence in fantasy books. Some book have it, some books don’t. Also, the person who asks the question might be religious, and they might a non-Christian. So you can’t say “go read Christian books”. Christianity isn’t the on,y religion that exists!
