The hardest problem for me is starting. If I can get started, then I can pound out 500+ words in a matter of minutes. With regard to my website, I keep an Excel file full of article ideas. This way if I am pressed for time or lacking creative ingenuity, I'll just mine that file for ideas. When it comes to writing a longer work--such as an article for another website or writing a book--I use an outlining process. Basically, I spend a huge amount of time generating as robust an outline as possible. Then, when it comes to writing, I simply follow my outline and write about what I've got there. Its not perfect, but it keeps me writing.
