Jack Although billed as a novel, the book is dedicated to Thomas Andrieu, the name of the subject's first love, in the small rural village where Besson grew up. So it seems more like a memoir with artistic liberties taken.
Jeffrey Powanda It's called autofiction, short for autobiographical fiction, or fictional memoir. It's a genre very popular in France.
Michael Something is either fiction or (auto)biographical. Something which blurs the line into 'autofiction' is just marketing. The genre doesn't actually exist. I suspect this would have been more honestly labeled 'memoir'.
Kate This book is a work of fiction. Any references to historical events, real people, or real places are used fictitiously. Other names, characters, places, and events are products of the author's imagination, and any resemblance to actual events or places or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.
Bar Machlev True story , very emutional
