Rita Thomas
Rita Thomas asked Lora Jones:

I find myself sharing your story and your book as I encounter hurting people. I fear I would shut myself off from the world, and possibly push God away. What kept you from pushing God away and retreating into yourself, hiding from the world?

Lora Jones Someone asked me, after the accident, if I was going to continue to believe in God. As I pondered their question, I considered the consequences of leaving my faith. If I chose to quit believing in God, then that would mean I believed there is no life after this one and no God who cared. That would mean I will never see my family again, and there’s no God to help me make it through life without them.
It scared me to death.
I chose to continue to believe in my God, and cling to Him. He did not disappoint me.
