(view spoiler)[Hello Dr. Gottlieb, 'Maybe You Should Talk To Someone' is an amazing amazing book! Thought-provoking and a book for everyone. Every patient in your book has had a positive response which is beyond amazing. However, I would like to know at what point you would decide that you cannot help someone anymore. Would you have an internal conflict between your perseverance and the reality that you cannot help them? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Srini, I included the story of "Becca" in the book to show that sometimes we can't seem to help someone, and what happens to both therapist and patient in those situations. It's in the chapter called "Fridays at Four."

Hi Lori! Thank you for your wonderful book! As a cancer survivor who has recently lost her breasts, mom, sister to cancer, and marriage, your book made me cry, smile and reflect. I catch myself being paralyzed by fear of recurrence due to the genetic nature of my cancer and saw many parallels with your obscure diagnosis. Thank you for the brilliant quotes that help me move forward. How are you doing?

Were the names of the patients changed for the story (I know Wendell's name was changed). And did the patients give permission for their stories to be told? I carry the story Welcome to Holland with me in my mind/heart because it can apply to my life events right now.Thank you for that story and for all the stories. Mary Jo Hansen

I did read that in the book! I tried to get Jenna Bush Hager to choose your book for her book club in the Today Show. I have given my book to a friend and highly recommend everyone read this book. Love it!!!! Thank you for pushing yourself to write it and for waiting to write on the topic of your passion. Will you come to Raleigh, NC, Quail Ridge Books?
