P.C. Cast I love this series! It was inspired by my relationship with my personal protection canine, Badger, who is/was (he died unexpectedly and tragically last month) an Eastern European German Shepherd. He was most like Laru. There are also a lot of my other pets in the books, including my sweet Cammy, who passed at the old age of 14 just two weeks before Badger. I'm glad they're immortalized within that world. Other dogs of mine are in it as well, as is my mare, Anjo (who is alive and well). For the setting, I was inspired by my new home, Portland, OR. Thanks for asking! XO PC

Would you ever consider adding to the Partholon series? I have read the series a few times over the years and love it every time. I too love Anne McCaffrey's Pern series. I have also read that series multiple times. Your daughter Kristin's new series ROCKS, and I can't wait for the third book to come out! I would love to see something new for Elphame or Brighid.
