Hi Paula- I read The Paris Wife and then followed it by immediately reading A Movable Feast by E. Hemingway. When I read Circling the Sun, I immediately followed it with West into the Night by Beryl Markham. I find it very interesting to read your work this way and thought I'd let you know! I have just started Love and Ruin. Any suggestions on the Hemingway book to follow it with? Thank you!

Paula McLain Hello, Martha. Nice to hear from you! Thanks so much for reading my work, and of course I'm delighted to know that it's sent you toward these other wonderful books. I'd suggest you read For Whom the Bell Tolls, which EH was writing at the time my book takes place, and which is often regarded as his most significant book. I'd also suggest you read Martha's book, Travels with Myself and Another, nonfiction, but wholly wonderful, funny and very human. Very best wishes to you, and happy reading!
