Just enjoyed reading your interview on the Literary Hub by Peter Nowogrodzki! Looking forward to reading your latest! You have written such a diverse range of books (the reason I also really like Ian McEwan as an author), I am interested to know how you decide what you are going to write about next and what initial steps you take when starting a new project? Keep up the good work, do not even think of "retiring" haha

Thanks, Chavelli. I emerge to do these very enjoyable interviews whenever I have a new book out, which is now, with Outside Looking In. I am just about done with the publicity for this book and am deep into the next two. I've written half of the next book of stories and am now fifty pages into the new novel (the remaining six or so stories will wait till the novel is done, so that the novel will be published next, then the collection of stories). My initial steps? Worrying constantly. Then doing research. Then writing.

Hello! What do you like most about teaching? Have you had students go on to write for a living?

Hey TC, The Women was one of my favourite books of yours. A week or two ago this recreation of FL Wright's lost works was on CBC's show Spark, thought you'd be interested? http://www.cbc.ca/radio/spark/351-search-history-for-sale-bot-talk-and-more-1.4044685/frank-lloyd-wright-s-3d-revival-1.4044727. San Miguel is next up for me!
